A ma (Asima Khan) has always liked to go on road trips. We never do much planning upfront, instead we book a destination hotel for a few days and then wing it as we go along. This photo was taken in front of a large, historical house in Charleston, SC. Upon arriving at our destination during our trips, we pick out sites to see more or less on the fly. It's more fun that way than worrying about schedules or deadlines.

We do have an odd habit of picking a restaurant as the first Desis to arrive, only to have more also choose the same place later on.
