W e were driving home to Tucson from the Bay Area, where we had been visiting family. My folks enjoyed scenic routes, and Route 1 down the coast of California is pretty spectacular.

I guess we stopped along the way to eat. Here's my mom preparing sandwiches and enjoying a refreshing can of V8.
