E lizabeth and I had been living in upstate New York for one year and had already driven some 3,000 miles. These trips primarily consisted of visiting family and friends in Albany and Brooklyn. One weekend we decided to venture west and experience Niagara Falls. We did no planning whatsoever and weren't sure if seeing the Falls would be worth the 10 hour drive. The day ended up being better than we ever imagined. The view was spectacuar and riding the Maid of the Mist was truly exhilarating. It was a spontaneous adventure that we will never forget!
